Teresa Vergara

Teresa Vergara passed away on June 2, 2023. Born in Quito, Ecuador, and traveled to Elmhurst NY where she lived most of her life. There will be a wake on Wednesday June 7, 2023 at Neufield funeral home (88-04 43rd Ave, Elmhurst NY. 11373) from 3-7 p.m. Followed by a funeral mass on Thursday June 8, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Bartholomew Church in Elmhurst.

Teresa was a very active participant in the community. She enjoyed spending time with family and was always taking pictures. She was known for her very famous cheese empanadas. Family was the center of her life, specifically her grandchildren.

Wife of Ruben Vergara, she was the loving mother of Karolyn Ferris and Andrea Vergara.  Sister of Patricia, Marcia, Besie, Mariana, Alberto, and the late Manuel Abarca. Also caring for her grandchildren Kenny, Kaitlyn, Justin and Ryan.
