Rosario Cera Delima

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Rosario Cera De Lima announces she peacefully left this world in her home on December 28, 2024, at the age of 91. Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Born on September 14, 1933, in Barranquilla, Colombia. She was known for her zest for life, infectious laughter, and lover of song and dance. She could always light up any room she was in. She was a lover and advocate of animals who found beauty in life’s simple moments and encouraged us all to do the same. Wherever she found herself she found a way to make sure all those around her were having a good time. She is survived by her children Astrid De Lima Cera, Evelyn De Lima Teeuwen, Federico De Lima Cera, and Rocio De Lima Cera and brother Nicolas F. Cera.

To commemorate her life and the memories we cherish, a viewing service will be held on January 2, 2025, from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at Gerald Neufeld Funeral Home, 88-04 43rd Avenue, Elmhurst, NY 11373.
A Funeral Mass will be held on January 3, 2025, at St. Bartholomew Parish Roman Catholic Church, 43-22 Ithaca St, Elmhurst, NY 11373 at 9:30am. All are welcome.

Con profundo pesar, la familia de Rosario Cera De Lima comunica su fallecimiento, ocurrido en paz en su hogar el pasado 28 de diciembre de 2024, a la edad de 91 años. Rosario, querida madre, abuela, hermana y tía, nació el 14 de septiembre de 1933 en Barranquilla, Colombia. Fue conocida por su alegría de vivir, su risa contagiosa y su pasión por la música y el baile. Con su presencia, lograba iluminar cualquier lugar y transmitir una calidez única. Amante y defensora de los animales, encontraba belleza en los pequeños momentos de la vida ysiempre nos animaba a valorar lo simple y esencial. Dondequiera que estuviera, se aseguraba de que todos a su alrededor disfrutaran y se sintieran bien. Le sobreviven sus hijos: Astrid De Lima Cera, Evelyn De Lima Teeuwen, Federico De Lima Cera y Rocío De Lima Cera, así como su hermano, Nicolás F.Cera.

Para honrar su vida y los recuerdos que deja en nuestros corazones, se llevará a cabo un velatorio el próximo 2 de enero de 2025, de 3:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m.,en la funeraria Gerald Neufeld, ubicada en 88-04 43rd Avenue, Elmhurst, NY 11373.

La misa fúnebre tendrá lugar el 3 de enero de 2025, a las 9:30 a.m., en la iglesia católica de la parroquia St. Bartholomew, situada en 43-22 Ithaca St, Elmhurst, NY 11373. Todos los que deseen acompañarnos están cordialmente invitados.
