Rev. Shih-Chi Lee, 95, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 27, 2025, following a period of illness with pneumonia.
He was born on June 1, 1930, in Baishuixi, Baihe, Tainan, Taiwan. A third-generation Christian, his name, meaning “the mark of the cross,” reflected the life he lived—faithful, humble, and devoted to Christ.
After studying in Japan and graduating from Central Taiwan Theological Seminary, Rev. Lee served for decades as a pastor in rural churches across Taiwan. He was a gentle shepherd, deeply committed to the people he served and the God he loved.
He is remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather, whose life of prayer and service left a lasting legacy of faith.
He is survived by his son, John Lee; daughter-in-law, Fumei Lee; granddaughter, Joy and her husband Ryan Ly; and granddaughter Michelle Lee.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 09:45 AM in Queens, NYC.
Now at rest in the Lord, he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
To God be the glory.
