Nit Garnploog

We are celebrating the life of Nit Garnploog and his 85 years on this planet. Born on September 22, 1937, Nit was a top kickboxing coach in Thailand majoring in Sports administration before becoming an honored Thai army officer. He met the love of his life, Premsiree Garnploog while studying in the Philippines and moved to the United States in the 1970s having their only son, Phanjanit Mickey Garnploog. Nit shifted his interest from sports to Administration and Supervision and receiving his Masters Degree at Fordham University. He chose a philanthropic career in special education helping students with special needs and disabilities.  During this time, he was able to hone in on his artistic abilities designing posters, murals and wall art for his school. In his free time, he would dab in the culinary arts and make some of the best Thai food in the world...attested by the teaching staff at his school that would swoon over his curry fried rice, gravy noodles or Thai stir fry.  But his biggest joy was to spend time with his three grand munchkins pictured; Katherine (age 7), Frankie and Charlie (age 3) and the small family he leaves behind; his loving wife Premsiree, his son Phanjanit "Mickey" and daughter-in-law Frances Garnploog. Nit went peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, October 11th 2022.
