Nelson Ordonez

Nelson Alcides Ordoñez Lopez born in Gualaceó, Ecuador on February 16, 1928 to the late Rogerio Ordoñez Verá and Barbara Espinoza Lopez.  Nelson passed away peacefully in Roslyn, New York on April 2, 2022.  Nelson was a proud Ecuadorian and he enjoyed taking trips home to his native Ecuador to visit family and friends.  Nelson was also a lover of gardening and cooking.  He would often spend his free time singing and composing songs and even writing poems.  He was the devoted husband of the late Antonia Emilia Galindo Valdiviezo.  He will be deeply missed by his children Lidia Ordoñez Chacon, Victoria Ordoñez, Oswaldo Ordoñez, Maria Barbarita Ordoñez, Vincente Ordoñez and Leslie Ordoñez.  Nelson also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren (19) and great grandchildren (27).  Nelson Alcides Ordoñez was interred at St. Michael Cemetery on April 7th, 2022.
