It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Linda Pauline Corcoran. She was the beloved wife of Jack K Corcoran, who predeceased her in 2013. She was the devoted mother of Anthony S Corcoran and his wife, Alessandra of Ridgewood, NJ; John R Corcoran and his wife Liyao Yang of Forest Hills, NY; and Jeanine L Clausen of Lynbrook, NY. She is also survived by her three sisters Barbara Zingalis, Jeannette Maurer, and Susie Velez and was predeceased by her brother Charles Maurer. She cherished her six grandchildren: Kieran, Jack, Serena, Shane, Grace, and Shannon. She is lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Mom was an artist, designer, pre-school teacher, naturalist, and a woman of deep faith with a beautiful, extremely kind, giving heart. She lived for art, nature, helping others and would do anything for her family. She loved to travel to national parks here in the US and all over the world, but her favorite place was summers with the family in Vermont. She taught art and religion for over 30 years at St. Adalbert’s church and was the retired formation director of the Secular Franciscans. We miss her terribly, even though we take comfort that she is with Dad again. We love you Mom. In lieu of flowers please plant a tree (with the green link below) or donate to the Salvation Army in her honor.
