Jaime Trijo Brillante

It is with a heavy heart that the Brillante family announces the passing of our beloved
father, Jaime Trijo Brillante or commonly known as “Jimmy” or “Eming”. Papa passed
away on January 8 in New York City at the age of 74.
He is lovingly survived by his wife Carol, his children Candice, Jabb, Jamica, and
Cedric, their spouses Paolo, Mian, Jon, and Aimee, and his grandchildren Emma,
Santiago, Sancia, James, and Caliana.
Papa was born in Catanduanes, Bicol and lived a simple but meaningful life filled with
his devotion to serving God as a lay minister, caring for his loved ones, making people
laugh, and just being the simple Jaime/Jimmy/Eming he is. He was a scientist, chemical
engineer, and was given a Presidential Inventor Award at Malacañang Palace in the
70's.
He is such an admirable, unassuming, selfless and loving father. He doesn’t talk much
but he was present in all our important milestones and never fails to make you laugh at
his witty jokes.
Please join us in celebrating Papa's life at Gerard Neufeld Funeral Home in Elmhurst,
New York, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM this Sunday, and at a funeral mass at 9:45 AM at
St. Sebastian in Woodside the following day.
