Frances Cesarano

Frances (Fran) Cesarano, aged 84, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2024, in Elmhurst, NY. Born on May 26, 1939, in New York City to Sam and Angelina Falgiano, Frances lived a life dedicated to love, service, and kindness.

Frances is survived by her devoted and loving husband Matthew, who would have celebrated their 64th anniversary on May 29th; her children Carl and his wife Martha, Fay, and her husband Joseph; her cherished grandchildren Melissa, Giada, and Nicholeta; and her sister Anita and her husband Jorge. Frances and Matthew shared a bond that spanned approximately 70 years, a testament to their enduring love and commitment to each other.

Fran was a longtime resident of Elmhurst, NY. She dedicated over 20 years of her life as a supervisor in the home healthcare industry, where she passionately onboarded and mentored staff to provide care for the elderly and homebound.

She was an active member of St. Bartholomew’s Church, where she served as a eucharistic minister for approximately 30 years, faithfully serving at Mass and bringing Holy Communion and ashes to the sick in her community. Additionally, she volunteered her time at St. Bartholomew Elementary School, endearing herself as everyone’s favorite substitute teacher.

Astrology was her favorite hobby, which she pursued with great enthusiasm, using her knowledge for entertainment and to provide positive support and comfort to others in their time of need. Her inner beauty radiated outward, reflected in her infectious smile and sense of humor that brightened the mood of everyone around her.

Fran positively impacted the lives of many in her family, community, and beyond. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
