Felisa Perfecta Munoz

Felisa Perfecta Rosado Rendon Munoz, age 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024, at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in Queens, New York.  

Felisa was born on July 5th, 1940 in Vinces, Ecuador, to Manuel Rendon, and Guillermina Rosado.  As a girl, Felisa grew up surrounded by the Munoz family and eventually married Genaro Isadoro Munoz on July 30th, 1975, at La Iglesia De San Vicente in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Shortly after, Felisa immigrated to New York City, where she found employment in a factory.    In 1980, Felisa and Genaro became loving parents to their daughter, Claudia.

Felisa's patient, attentive and nurturing personality allowed her to be a wonderful caretaker for many of the children in her family - some of whom are serving as  pallbearers in her memory. 

Felisa was well known in her family for her skills in the kitchen & home. Her elaborate, delicious meals were enjoyed by many. Felisa and Genaro resettled to Florida in 2004 where they were able to take in and enjoy the sun.   Felisa lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; traveling, gardening, admiring flowers, swooning over Elvis Presely, enjoying her favorite food - shrimp! Most importantly spending time with friends and family. Felisa, although quiet and soft spoken, had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. We have lost our family's next matriarch, leaving a void that cannot be filled.
