Evangeline Garrovillas Sto. Domingo

February 18, 1964 – December 20, 2019

Evangeline (Eva) Garrovillas Sto. Domingo was born on February 18, 1964 in Teresa Rizal, Philippines to parents Corazon Lopez Garrovillas and Julio Garrovillas and is third eldest of seven children. She arrived in New York from the Philippines in 1993 and has spent over 20 years building a better foundation for her family. Her time spent in New York was filled with adventure and unforgettable experiences from vacationing in the Hamptons to attending the Freedom Medal Ceremony where she met President Obama and Al Pacino.

A devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, Eva was and is always loved by everyone she has encountered. Her unwavering spirit and determination are only some of the defining characteristics that encompass her legacy. Her strength and willpower to provide the utmost care for family and friends is unmatched. Eva’s perseverance surpassed any obstacle she endured as her devotion to her beloved children sparked a constant drive to progress in life and love. Eva’s sheer passion for ensuring the safety and happiness of others was truly a commitment she held even in her last days. We continue to live in her memory.

Her love is always with us.

She is survived by her mother, Corazon Lopez Garrovillas; her children, Albert Ivan Bayan and Ma. Krislle Brar; her brother, Julio Garrovillas Jr.; her sisters, Jane De Jesus, Arlene Garrovillas, and Joan Garrovillas Mata; and her grandchildren, Lhian, Janea and Jayden Bayan.
