Elena C. Rojas

Elena Capac Rojas, 76, of Jackson Heights, New York, passed away on Sunday December 6, 2020. She was born on May 22, 1944 in Lima, Peru and came to the United States in 1969.  She was a Medical Assistant at James Rudell Medical Center for many years, catholic by faith, loved to travel and was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren who meant the world to her. She was known for having a heart of gold displaying unwavering generosity and kindness and always putting others before herself.  Elena  is survived by her children; Jorge Frank Rojas of Union, NJ and Kris Marin-Pilgrim of Nutley, NJ; and four grandchildren, DJ, Sofia, Angie and Jenny. She is also survived by her daughter- in-law Yovana Rojas and son-in-law Duke Pilgrim. 

Family and friends will be received Friday December 11, 2020 from 8am-9:30am at Neufeld Funeral Home, 88-04 43rd Street, Elmhurst, NY 11373. Afterwards, a funeral mass will be held at 9:45AM at St. Bartholomew Parish Roman Catholic Church, 43-22 Ithaca St, Elmhurst, NY 11373.  The burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 1100 East Broad Street, Westfield, NJ, 07090.
