Carlos Alberto Cardenas

Usted lo conoceria como Carlos Alberto, Carlitos, Beto, Grandpa, Tio Dooky y
otros nombres mas. Pero ante todo, lo conocimos como un gran hombre de
familia. Un hombre de Dios, que dejaba bendiciones en donde quiera que andaba. Fue
un amigo, hermano, hijo, tío y padre como ninguno. Quienes tuvieron el privilegio de
conocerlo; conocieron también su bondad, su amor y la sinceridad de su corazón. El
caminaba con Dios en su alma, y su fe, se reflejaba en la manera que trataba a los
demás.
El fue un hombre dedicado a su trabajo, y siempre dispuesto a ayudar al que mas lo
necesitaba. El no conocía un extraño que no recibiera su abrazo, su sonrisa o su
ayuda. Su generosidad y humildad dejaron huellas en todos los que cruzaron su
camino.
Desde joven, el fútbol fue su gran pasión. Pasó incontables horas jugando junto a su
hermano, Gustavo en el parque de Flushing, donde construyó recuerdos inolvidables.
Ganando trofeos gracias a su talento. Sin embargo, el mejor premio no fue el que se lo
gano. El verdadero premio fuimos nosotros que no lo ganamos; por haber tenido la
oportunidad de conocer a un hombre como él. Ese será el regado más valioso que nos
deja en nuestros corazones.
Al paso del tiempo el encontró una nueva pasión en la música. Tocando sus maracas y
tambores llenaba de alegría el mismo parque que tanto significó para él. Y fue ahi
precisamente en ese parque donde pasó su último día, rodeado de su gente y el lugar
que siempre llevó en el corazón.
Hoy nos deja un vacío inmenso. Ya no escucharemos el sonido de sus maracas, ni de
sus tambores en el parque, pero podriamos imaginar que el cielo está ahora lleno de su
música. Estamos seguros de que fue recibido con los brazos abiertos de nuestros
seres queridos que se han ido antes y que hoy sonríe, disfrutando de la paz y la gloria
del reino del Señor.
Aunque hoy nos toca despedirnos por un tiempo, él mismo nos recordaría con sus
palabras lo que siempre decía: “lo más importante es tener salud, vivir con alegría y
confiar en Dios.” “ Que Dios los bendiga.”
Esto no es un adiós para siempre; sino un hasta luego.
Nos volveremos a encontrar.

You may have known him as Carlos Alberto, Carlitos, Beto, Grandpa, Tío Duqui, or
by many other names. But above all, we knew him as a family man, and a man of God
who left blessings wherever he went.
He was a loyal friend, a loving brother, a devoted son, an unforgettable uncle, and an
extraordinary father. Those who had the privilege of knowing him also came to know the
kindness, love, and sincerity of his heart. He walked with God in his soul, and his faith
was reflected in the way he treated everyone around him.
He was a hardworking and dedicated man who was always willing to help those who
needed him most. He never met a stranger who wasn't greeted with a warm hug, or a
genuine smile. His generosity and humility left a lasting mark on everyone whose life he
touched.
Soccer was his greatest passion from a young age. He spent countless hours playing
alongside his brother, Gustavo, at Flushing Park, where they created unforgettable
memories and earned many trophies. Yet, the greatest prize was never one that he won
on the field. The greatest gift belonged to all of us; the privilege of knowing a man like
him. That will always be the most precious legacy he leaves in our hearts.
As time passed, he discovered his passion for music. With his maracas and drums, he
filled that same park with joy and laughter. It was there, in the very place that meant so
much to him, that he spent his final day, a place he always carried in his heart.
Today, he leaves an immeasurable emptiness in our lives. We will no longer hear the
sound of his maracas or his drums, but we can imagine that heaven is now filled with
his music. We are certain that he has been welcomed with open arms by the loved ones
who went before him, and that today he is smiling, rejoicing in the peace and glory of
God's kingdom.
Although today we must say goodbye for a little while, he would remind us of what he
would always say to us: “the most important things in life are to have good health,
to live with joy, and to trust in God.” “May God bless each and every one of you.”
This is not goodbye forever. It is simply, until we meet again.
