Asterfo Payano, age 76, passed away peacefully on May 11th, 2024, at his residence in Elmhurst, New York. He was born in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic, on October 18th, 1947. Asterfo was a beloved husband to Francisca Payano and a devoted father to Marilyn, Patrick, Arlene, Carlos, and Cristian.

He was adored by his grandchildren Alejandro, Joshua, Bryan, Marleen, Christian, and Gianna, whom brought him immense joy and laughter throughout his life. Asterfo's love extended even to his beloved dog, Astro, who was a faithful companion.

Asterfo will be remembered for his unparalleled work ethic and kindness to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His unwavering dedication to his family and friends left a lasting impact on all who crossed his path.

A funeral service to celebrate Asterfo's life will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church in Jackson Heights, Queens, New York, on Wednesday, May 15th, at 10:30 AM.

A heartfelt message from his wife, Francisca Payano: "Quédate en mi memoria y en mis recuerdos, quédate allí, donde nadie te toque, donde cada vez que te busque pueda encontrarte."

He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
