Ana Marcela Oliveros Alouidor was born on August 8, 1974 at Elmhurst Hospital in Queens, New York to Ana Jimenez and Leyder Oliveros.
Early in her life Ana knew that she wanted to become an educator and that education opened the door to a better future. Ana devoted herself to her studies and earned her undergraduate degree from Hunter College and obtained her double master’s degree at Touro College in Education and Leadership. Ana taught for 23 years for the New York City Department of Education. She spent her last years teaching at PS 128 in Middle Village, Queens as a special education teacher.
Ana enjoyed listening to freestyle music, attending freestyle concerts, dancing, sunshine, vacations, dining, and the beach. As a child, Ana enjoyed swimming and playing with her cousins. Ana was a loyal and beloved wife to her husband Ralph and adored their loving and inseparable bond. Ana was also a devoted and compassionate mother who always kept her children Alexander and Christian engaged in activities, sports, travel, and spending memorial times during birthdays, holidays, and milestone celebrations with family and friends. Ana and her mom were the best of friends and did everything together and she will be deeply missed by her. Ana formed long lasting friendships over the years and they will be forever cherished.
On Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Mount Sinai Hospital, Ana entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loved ones. Mourning her departure, yet cherishing wonderful memories of her will be her husband Ralph Alouidor, her two sons, Alexander and Christian Alouidor, her mother Ana Jimenez, colleagues, students, and close family and friends.
Eternal rest grant upon her, O Lord,
And let perpetual light shine upon her.
May she rest in peace. Amen.
